Designs in Floral started many years ago
with my Mom, Joyce . She used to gather flowers to dry and make dried flower
arrangements. I remember many of our family vacations we would drive to Utah
from Chicago. We would often stop along the side of the road for my Mom to pick
flowers. My mother's business expanded from doing dried flowers, to including
silk and fresh flower arrangements. She now does local weddings and custom
design.
My name is Cheryl Anne Wetzker. I always loved helping my Mom gather flowers on the side of the road. However, I was often disappointed that the brightest flowers could not be hung upside down to dry, and continue to be pretty. That is how my portion of the business got started. I went to a single class about how to press flowers and I was immediately hooked. To this day, I love to stop on the side of the road looking for flowers to dry. Now I pick those beautifully colored flowers and immediately press them to preserve their beauty. Then I make my own version of flower arrangements for you to enjoy. Want to learn more about me?
